On June 12, 2017, Starbucks happily announced that it is teaming with Lady Gaga for a set of vividly colored drinks that will support the singer’s Born this Way Foundation. The Bad Romance singer made an announcement on Twitter and revealed that the drinks would be called “Cups of Kindness.”

The singer further shared that with every beverage sold, $0.25 will be donated to her Born this Way Foundation. The money will go to the foundation’s Channel Kindness program that raises campaign on spreading kindness.

The new launched of this new collection features four vivid iced beverages personally selected by Lady Gaga herself. The nondairy beverages include two of the Starbuck’s popular pink drinks and two new beverages. One of them is the New Violet drink, which is made up of sweet blackberries and tart hibiscus of Very Berry Hibiscus starbucks Refreshers Beverage.

A new vibrant green Matcha lemonade is also introduced which is brewed from Teavana matcha green tea, combined with crisp lemonade, and then shaken with ice to create a refreshingly sweet, delicious drink. Furthermore, Starbucks confirmed that all of these beverages will be non-dairy and low-calorie, consisting of merely 150 calories for a grande size.

The Born this Way singer said in an interview that she loves the entire collection. “I adore the entire collection and I instantly fell in love with the Matcha Lemonade,” Gaga said in the release.

The new beverages collection benefits a great cause

The new line of beverages will become available starting June 13. The newly launched drinks aim to raise money for Gaga’s Born this Way Foundation.

The youth empowerment organization was started by Gaga in 2011. The said foundation is particularly important especially to LGBTQ youth. Starbucks will give a portion of its sales for every cup of new beverage sold to Gaga's foundation.

According to the Inquisitr, the funds that will be earned go towards one of the foundation’s programs that support youth wellness and kindness.

The program also aims to improve mental health resources and create a more positive environment for all youth worldwide. Furthermore, the coffeehouse chain announced that they will make a minimum contribution of $250,000 to the singer's program.

The Cups of Kindness collection is now available to all participating Starbucks chains in the United States and Canada.
