Clooney and his wife, a Human Rights Lawyer, announced on Tuesday that they are new parents to twins — a boy and a girl. According to People magazine, the couple named the boy Alexander and the girl Ella.

Clooney's wife Amal gave birth at an exclusive Kingston Wing at the Westminister Hospital. The hospital has a private wing with custom made beds, large fridges for patients, as well as Wi-Fi. It costs approximately $7200 US dollars for an average delivery in the private side of the hospital, according to the Daily Mail. Approximately 5,000 babies are delivered each year at the hospital, while 700 patients chose to have their babies delivered a the private wing, according to the hospital's website.

The Oscar award winning actor married his wife Amal in September 2014 in Venice Italy. He once said that he doesn't see himself ever having kids. He also once told the British Daily Express that he would never get married again or have children, Clooney made this statement three months before proposing to Amal. Last week, he skipped a humanitarian award ceremony in Romania. He stated that he couldn't miss his wife while she is in labor or he will never be allowed to go home. It was first revealed they are expecting twins by the CBS talk show, The Talk.

Who is Amal Alamuddin?

Clooney once slammed the Daily Mail for claiming that Amal's mother is opposed to their marriage because Amal is a Muslim.

Amal is a human rights lawyer, born in Beirut Lebanon. Her family moved to the U.K during the 1980s Lebanese Civil War when she was only two years old. She graduated from St. Hugh's College located in Oxford with a law degree and also attended the New York University to study her masters in law. She is qualified to practice law both in the United Kingdom and in the U.S.

Clooney's previous relationships and marriage

Clooney dated Kelly Preston, an actress and former model, between 1987 and 1989. He then married actress Talia Balsam 1989 but later divorced her in 1993. Talia who is now 58 years old is currently married to John Slattery, an American actor and director.

Clooney went on to date several women before marrying Amal includingactress Ginger Allen and French reality television personality Balitran.

He also dated British model Lisa Snowden, actress Renee Zellweger, and comedian Kristina Allen. His most recent relationship that ended before he met Amal was with former WWE diva Stacy Keibler.
