'General Hospital' spoilers for comings and goings in July show some major shakeups in the cast at ABC daytime. 'GH' has surprised fans this week with big announcements like Steve Burton's return and Rebecca Budig's firing. What other cast members will be coming and going? ABC may be trying drastic measures because of rating problems. There are much more comings and goings in the air.

Kirsten Storms returns

Fans have wondered when Maxie, played by Kirsten Storms, would be back and the actress shared photos trying on wardrobe and back on the set.

Thursday, June 29, Kirsten and co-star Ryan Paevey who plays Nathan held a Facebook Live chat to confirm her return. Kirsten should be back July 24 but that could change if bad weather or politics cause pre-emptions on ABC daytime.

James Patrick Stuart back soon

Many 'GH' lovers wondered if Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) was off to prison for good, never to return. This does not seem the case as 'General Hospital' social media photos show James on set with Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn), so he's not gone.

ABC Soaps in Depth writes this week that Alex's (Finola Hughes) disappearance makes the case against Valentin unprovable, so he'll return for a while.

Nicolas Bechtel wraps for the summer

Spencer, played by Nicolas Bechtel, showed up for a summer story but he is done now. Nicolas shared a picture of him walking off the set with balloons and thanking 'GH' for a fun time.

Spencer is trying to take down Valentin but there's no information on whether Spencer and Valentin will overlap since Bechtel is leaving and Stuart is returning. Surely Spencer will return at some point.

Rio Mangini resigns as Oscar

Oscar (Rio Mangini) is brand new on 'General Hospital' as Josslyn's (Eden McCoy) possible love interest but, after the young actor got an offer from Netflix, he abruptly quit on ABC daytime.

Daytime Indulgence says 'GH' will recast the role and is already auditioning a replacement. Josslyn can't catch a break.

Rebecca Budig written out of 'GH'

Another shocking change in 'General Hospital' is the news that Hayden (Rebecca Budig) will be written out of the soap. Budig shared on social media that her character's exit was required for the storyline. With Hayden pregnant with Finn's (Michael Easton) baby, that doesn't sound good. There is no confirmation on how she'll exit.

James DePaiva makes first appearance

Soap veteran James DePaiva's first appearance should be any day now on 'GH' maybe as soon as Friday, June 30.

He will be Sam's (Kelly Monaco) doctor and the latest ABC Soaps in Depth writes that he will stay for a while and could come back later in a recurring role as a 'General Hospital' physician.

Steve Burton's return is undefined

A new 'General Hospital' promo announced that Steve Burton is back but gave no information on when or for how long. He must be playing Jason, although Billy Miller is in the role now. Why bring back Steve unless it is to revive Stone Cold somehow? Who knows what 'GH' is setting aside and whether Billy will stay in the role. Come back soon for more 'General Hospital' spoilers.
