Rashad Jennings is taking a break from "Dancing With The Stars" tour to spend some time on the football field. His representative confirmed to ET that the athlete will have a month-long breather before he will hit the road for the show's "Summer Nights" tour on August 1.

Filling in for his absence is Heather Morris who personally announced her comeback in a social media post on Tuesday. The "Glee" actress said she will be on the road with team from July 9 until 30, and asked the fans to secure their tickets for the roadshow.

"DWTS" tours America

The "Summer Nights" tour kicked off with a two-day show in Atlantic City on June 16 and 17, followed by a couple of performances in Morristown on June 18 and 19.

The roadshow will continue on Wednesday, June 21, in Erie and will wrap up in Fresno on August 13.

Morris will serve as the special guest while Jennings is out on the field. For the "Dancing with the Stars" tour, the actress will be joining Emma Slater, Sasha Farber, Sharna Burgess, Artem Chigvintsev, Lindsay Arnold, Hayley Erbert, Gleb Savchenko, Keo Motsepe, Alan Bersten, and Britt Stewart.

The 30-year-old actress has previously expressed her desire to join the tour during an ET interview in May. She candidly said she is not against the idea. In fact, Morris would love to be back on stage to perform with Maksim Chmerkovskiy once more.

Morris on 'DWTS'

The "Glee" star was paired to Chmerkovskiy for the 24th season of the long-running ABC series.

Her participation on the show drew flak, with critics stating that Morris' professional dance experience would be unfair for other contestants. The producers, however, clarified that the actress does not have experience in terms of ballroom or partnering, which makes her qualified for the dance competition.

Morris performed with Chmerkovskiy in the opening of the season before the latter suffered a calf strain.

She danced with Bersten until her original partner returned during the sixth week of "Dance with the Stars" season 24. They were able to perform another routine before they were eliminated from the game.

Jennings was announced as the winner of that season after competing against David Ross and Normani Kordei who placed second and third, respectively. The NFL player and his partner, Slater, earned 39/40 points for their fusion of cha cha and tango. When asked about his win, the athlete said he is just having fun doing both dancing and training.
