Forbes magazine has been publishing a yearly list of the highest paid celebrities in the world since 1999. In this year's list which was released on the 12th of this month, of the 6 top paid celebrities in the world, four were musicians; one was an author while one was an athlete. A majority of the top six highest-paid celebrities were Americans. Kylie Jenner was the youngest highest paid celebrity in the world; the 19-year-old earned $41 million last year.

1. Diddy
The 47-year-old musician earned $130 million last year.
His real name is Sean Combs. He is also a songwriter, record producer, actor, and entrepreneur. Sean has been in the media industry since 1990. He currently has a net worth of $820 million. He started working in 1990 as an intern at New York's Uptown Records.
2. Beyonce Knowles
According to Forbes, Beyonce earned $105 million last year. She is 35 years old. She is a singer, actress, and songwriter. She participated in various dancing and singing competitions as a child and became famous in the 1990s as lead singer of Destiny's Child R&B group. Her current net worth is $350 million.
3. Joanne Rowling
Rowling is 51 years old. She is a British film producer, novelist, and screenwriter. She earned $95 million last year.
She is the author of the Harry Potter series that has sold more than 40 copies worldwide. She started working as a bilingual secretary and researcher for Amnesty International.
4. Aubrey Drake Graham
Also known as Drake, Graham who is only 30 years old made $94 million last year. Graham is a Canadian rapper, songwriter, singer, record producer, and actor.
His first job in the entertainment industry was in a Canadian teen drama series called Degrassi: The Next Generation. He was only 15 at that time.
5. Christiano Ronaldo
Ronaldo is 32 years old and earned $93 million last year. He currently plays for Spanish football club Real Madrid. He began his football career at Sporting CP, a sports club in Portugal before signing up for Manchester United club in 2003 when he was 18 years.
He is currently worth $400 million according to celebritynetworth.com. Early this week Ronaldo was accused by Madrid authorities of evading $16.5 million in taxes.

His real names are Abel Makkonen Tesfaye. He is 27 years old. He earned $92 million last year. He is a Canadian songwriter, singer and record producer. He became famous in 2010 after uploading videos on youtube anonymously.
2015 Forbes celebrity pay list
Taylor Swift topped the highest paid star in 2015 followed by One Direction. Others were James Patterson, Christiano Ronaldo, Dr. Phi while Kevin Hart came sixth.
