After Donald Trump decided to attack the hosts of "Morning Joe" during a Thursday morning Twitter attack, the news has been dominated by the aftermath. As expected, comedian Bill Maher had a few thoughts on the matter.

Maher on Trump

Seeing Donald Trump start his day with a variety of controversial tweets has become the norm, yet the president always finds a way to twist the knife and create new drama. On Thursday morning, the former host of "The Apprentice" might have gone too far even for him when he personally attacked Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough.

In response to their recent criticism of his administration, Trump ripped into his former friends, labeling Scarborough as a "psycho," while calling Brzezinski "low I.Q." However, it was the conclusion of the tweet that caught the negative attention of press, with Trump accusing the female MSNBC host of getting a facelift and then allegedly attempting to spend time with him on New Year's Year. Trump then said he turned the couple down, falsely stating that Brzezinski was still bleeding from her operation. The president came under heavy fire over the next 24 hours, with even many Republicans holding his feet to the fire. As the two sides continue to trade jabs, Bill Maher gave his opinion during the June 30 edition of "Real Time" on HBO.

Kicking off his show with his routine opening monologue was Bill Maher and the host didn't hold back. "'Morning Joe' is in a Twitter feud with the Real Housewife of Pennsylvania Ave," Maher said in satirical reference to the president.

"It all started yesterday when President 'what the f*ck' poop-tweeted another gem," Maher continued, before adding, "We gotta get him off the shi**er."

"He's been seething over the criticism he's been getting for months from 'Morning Joe,' that he now calls 'low I.Q.' Mika and 'psycho' Joe," Bill Maher went on to say.

"That slapping sound you heard yesterday was the entire country going..." he added while face-palming his forehead to the laughter of the audience. "Donald Trump once again taught us a valuable lesson. You can never be too rich to be white trash," he noted.

"If you are gonna go after a woman's appearance, make sure you aren't a fat old man with orange face paint pretending to be a blonde at 71," Bill Maher said as the host piled on the billionaire real estate mogul. "You're so unattractive, Melania won't even touch your hand," he stated.

While Bill Maher and other high-profiled critics of the president call him out on a daily basis, it doesn't look to be slowing down Donald Trump and his rhetoric. As the backlash continues, Trump appears willing to go down with the ship instead of changing his tune.
