The European premiere of “Wonder Woman” has been canceled following a terrorist attack in Manchester this Monday. The news came a few days before Gal Gadot, Robin Wright and Chris Pine were due to walk the red carpet in London, alongside filmmaker Patty Jenkins.

Now, Warner Bros. says that it has canceled the event out of respect for the Manchester Arena victims, following the suicide attack which took the lives of many innocents.

A spokesperson told Mail Online that they are sad to hear that various people are killed in the recent tragedy in the United Kingdom, so it's impossible to release the film in London.

The studio planned to release "Wonder Woman" both in the United States and England on the same day, but now Warner Bros. has changed the premiere dates.

The female superhero movie

“Wonder Woman” is one of the most anticipated superhero movies to date. Gal Gadot is starred as the titular character, Princess Diana, who is ready to accept all challenges and does not feel hesitation to speak of her mind. Diana is a courageous, hard-working, devoted, and brave woman.

Gadot describes her character as full of strengths and supernatural powers. In the United Kingdom, the movie was set to premiere on June 1, 2017, but now the plans have been changed, and Warner Bros. is likely to give it a new date.

What Gal Gadot has to say?

Gal Gadot said in a statement to Den of Geek that the cancellation of London premiere would impact the film’s gross. She was scheduled to walk a red carpet on May 31, 2017, alongside Chris Pine and Robin Wright, to help welcome the superhero movie to Europe.

However, it seems that the film’s London premiere is impossible for the time being.

"Wonder Woman" is the latest event canceled following the death of many people at an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester this Monday. Not only this but also a couple of concerts and music shows have been canceled.

This superhero movie is based on the DC Comics character of the same name. It is the fourth film in the DC Extended Universe and directed by Patty Jenkins.

The story and dialogues are written by Allan Heinberg, Zack Snyder, and Jason Fuchs. “Wonder Woman” marks the first superhero movie directed by a female (Patty Jenkins).

The film had its Shanghai premiere on May 15, 2017, and is scheduled to be released in the United States on June 2, 2017, in 3D, IMAX 3D, and DVD. We look forward to the movie and have high expectations.
