"The #Real Housewives of Orange County" season 12 will premiere this summer and some spoilers for the show are slowly making their way online. One cast member will "surprise" fans and loyalties will change, according to Bravo's Andy Cohen. In season 11, there was certainly a theme of "them against us" from start to finish. Some of that continues with different faces, and one woman is possibly switching sides.

Who surprises viewers in season 12?

Andy Cohen tells Daily Dish that there will be "alliances shifting" in season 12 of "RHOC." He reveals that viewers will be "surprised" by Kelly Dodd in the new season as well. As fans recall, Kelly was team Vicki last season and spewed venom at Shannon Beador, Tamra Judge, and Heather Dubrow (who's not returning to "The #Real Housewives of #orange county").

Cohen adds that "some old housewives" are returning to "RHOC" when the show broadcasts again, which will make it even more interesting. Forged alliances will take on a whole new dynamic. Meghan King Edmonds never really took any sides last season of "The Real Housewives of Orange County" with the exception of turning her back on Vicki after the dune buggy accident. Meghan wasn't interested in visiting Vicki in the hospital because she reasoned they weren't close enough to warrant going out of her way. She was forgiven a few weeks later after declaring she had no idea how serious the accident really was for her.

Other than that, Meghan was a good friend to Kelly but was objective in her viewpoints. She wasn't afraid to tell Kelly where she went wrong with the other cast members. The other women had nothing against Meghan at all.

In fact, they felt sorry for her putting up with Kelly's crazy antics.

Alliance rumors

According to prior spoilers on "RHOC" season 12, one of the returning cast members will be Lydia McLaughlin while newcomer, Peggy Sulahian, is expected to appear. Lydia is rumored to play an ally of Vicki's but will be really close to Tamra.

In other words, deceit and more dishonesty is on the horizon for the upcoming season of the show. It sounds like Tamra will be doing her best to get back at Vicki after last season. These two girls just can't get along! Kind of hard to do when they're willing to play dirty most of the time.

A premiere date for "The Real Housewives of Orange County" hasn't been revealed yet, but should be announced later this month or in June. Are you looking forward to seeing what season 12 brings? There will be no shortage of drama and feuds to keep viewers tuned in!
