Once Upon a Time, one of the most popular ABC shows to date, has just wrapped up its sixth season. However, the show has been renewed for a seventh season! If you're a fan of the show, you'll understand the concept of how all magic comes at a price and this time the price is losing over 50% of the original cast members. Will it be worth it?
Who's returning?
According to the creators of the show, Adam Horowitz & Eddy Kitsis, only three key characters are returning as season regulars.
- Lana Parrilla - The Evil Queen
- Colin O'Donoghue - Captain Hook
- Robert Carlyle - Rumplestiltskin
It's been hinted that these key characters may be returning with new identities, which has already begun to upset fans.

These characters are not returning for Season 7 as season regulars.
- Jennifer Morrison - The Savior (Emma Swan)
- Jared Gilmore - The Author (Henry)
- Emilie De Ravin - Belle
- Ginnifer Godowin - Snow White
- Josh Dallas - Prince Charming
- Rebecca Mader - Wicked Witch of the West (Zelena)
However, Adam & Eddy have managed to convince the main star of the first 6 seasons, Jennifer Morrison, to return for season 7 for one episode only.
What's season 7 about?
At the end of season 6, the show fast-forwarded 10-20 years, where the audience was introduced to an older Henry Mills and his daughter, that he had no idea existed.
That's all we know for now, but we will most likely understand more of what's to happen in this new season as we progress towards the season premiere in September 2017.
Who is Henry's daughter?
Fans have been speculating who Henry's daughter is since the demise of season six. The most popular being that she is, in fact, the daughter of Moana, meaning Henry and Moana have been together at some stage in his past.
Another popular rumor is that this season is introducing the world of 'Narnia' as Henry's daughter is introduced as Lucy - which we all know is the little girl from the Narnia series. This rumor has since been put to 'rest' by Adam & Eddy, however, some fans are still hopeful.
What's next for Once Upon a Time?
We can only speculate what is to come for season seven of Once Upon a Time, what we do know is that all hope is not lost.
If you're a fan of the show you'll understand how important hope is. Emma is returning, and three of our much-loved characters are also making a regular comeback. Let's just hope ABC can pull it off.
