Universal Pictures has released a new clip for “Pacific Rim: Uprising,” featuring John Boyega, Cailee Spaeny, Scott Eastwood, Jing Tian, Charlie Day, Rinko Kikuchi, and Burn Gorman.

Earlier this month, a piece of promotional arts for the movie revealed latest designs. From the trailer, it's easy to assume that Jaegers are fighting against the monsters in the science fiction film.

So far, three full-length trailers and several posters have arrived online. It has been rumored that the studio will release a couple of new clips next week, but nothing is confirmed.

Even a few blueprint images to “Pacific Rim: Uprising” are also available on the fan website, PacificRim2.

‘Pacific Rim: Uprising’ – the movie

“Pacific Rim: Uprising” is scheduled to be released on February 23, 2018. This monster film is directed and co-produced by Steven DeKnight and scripted by Kira Snyder, T. S. Nowlin, and Emily Carmichael.

The story is inspired by a novel of the same name by Guillermo del Toro. Karan Brar, Ivanna Sakhno, Zhang Jin, Macheknyu, Shirley Rodriguez play Suresh, Quan, Marshal, Ryoichi, and Stella, respectively.

Production began in 2012 when Universal Pictures recruited Del Toro to pen the script. Later on, it was confirmed that Toro would direct and co-write the film, and charged $100 million.

Filming was expected to begin in November 2015, but could not due to budget issues. Also, there were conflicts between Universal and Legendary.
