At this time there has been no casting announcements or plot details revealed, but the show will be centered around #Marvel's Deadpool character. This announcement marks the third show to come to fruition in the partnership between Marvel and the FX network of channels, following the hit television show “Legion” from Noah Hawley and the new X-men connected television show from Matt Nix “The Gifted.” Jim Chory and Jeph Loeb from Marvel will also serve as executive producers on the show and the show will be produced by Marvel Television, ABC Signature Studios, and FX Productions. Donald Glover has a history with Marvel.

Donald Glover's show “Atlanta” is slated for a second season to premiere in 2018, but he already has a lot of experience with Marvel television and film. Glover voiced Miles Morales in the “Ultimate Spider-Man” animated series and he is slated to appear in the brand new “Spider-Man: Homecoming” movie in some capacity. In addition to his Marvel film and television credits, Glover is also set to portray Lando Calrissian in the new “Han Solo” prequel film, which will be released in theaters everywhere May, 25 2018, and he garnered a lot of fame for his portrayal of Troy Barnes on “Community.” Glover also has a music career in the rap industry as Childish Gambino, so he will certainly be one of the busiest young creative minds in Hollywood for the next few years to come.

Deadpool is still getting a sequel
