"Days Of Our Lives" fans were not sure what to expect when Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) went to save nicole walker (Arianne Zucker) and baby Holly. Even when he arrived in Greece to rescue her, Nicole was not pleased to see him. The two have a long history together. However, his drunk driving is what killed her fiance, Dr. Daniel Jonas (Shawn Christian). In recent episodes, she seems to have let go of her anger. Does this mean that she forgives the former priest?

Eric and Nicole's history on "Days Of Our Lives"

At one time, Eric Brady and Nicole Walker were lovers.

However, things didn't work out between the two. Then, Nicole started dating Daniel Jonas and the two planned on getting married. Unfortunately, the former priest decided to get drunk on New Year's Eve and get behind the wheel. As a result, Jennifer Horton (Melissa Reeves) was injured and it led to her addiction to pain pills. Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) had to get a heart transplant. As for Daniel Jonas, he was killed in the crash and Nicole has not forgiven him for it, even after his prison release.

Eric Brady gets a request from Brady Black

After Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) kidnapped Nicole Walker and baby Holly, Brady asked Eric for a big favor. He wanted him to find the fugitive mother. It was a tall order, but Eric agreed.

To everyone's surprise, he managed to locate Nicole, who was being kept by Xander at Deimos Kiriakis' (Vincent Irizarry) request. Eric and Nicole almost didn't escape, but thankfully some Salem visitors got a lead and saved them from Xander and Deimos.

Nicole Walker's anger toward Greg Vaughan's character

When Eric first showed up to rescue Nicole, she was not happy to see him.

She still had a lot of anger toward him and gave Eric a piece of her mind. At one point, she didn't even want to escape because of the unforgiveness in her heart. However, she eventually let go of it and even went back to get Eric. She knew that Brady would have a difficult time if Eric didn't return to Salem alive.

Is there forgiveness in the future on 'DOOL?'

It might be a stretch to say there is forgiveness. Eric and Nicole will probably never be friends again. However, he did try to do the right thing by saving Arianne Zucker's character. In an interview with Soap Opera Digest a few weeks ago, Greg Vaughan discussed the storyline. He had no intention of trying to get forgiveness. However, he wanted to do the right thing and help people. In a way, saving Nicole and Holly was more for himself than it was for the mother and child. He is even taking it a step further by helping sneak them into Brady's hospital room. It is something that will get Eric arrested on "Days Of Our Lives," but to him, it will be worth it.
