Season finale spoilers

It will focus on Life Model Decoy, also known as Aida (Mallory Jensen) and her means to make herself human through The Framework/Project Looking Glass. “The Return,” the second to the last episode of season 4, revealed that Aida is Inhuman.

She also possesses powerful abilities that are dangerous, which includes teleportation and self-healing. Towards the end of the episode, Robbie as the Ghost Rider returned. In the upcoming season finale, it will be clarified how the Spirit of Vengeance returned to the world.

Perhaps Robbie was commanded by the forces that control the Ghost Rider in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to return after knowing that Aida intends to burn the world to the ground. They would rather let Robbie return to the world than let Aida’s plan of apocalypse succeed. It is a fact in the series that once the Spirit of Vengeance decided to claim the soul of someone, then there is nothing and no one can stop it.

This is the answer to the question of Coulson to Robbie in the season finale trailer.

One commendable factor in “Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D” is how it was able to neatly weave together the elements of Ghost Rider, which background stories in the comic book revolve around the supernatural horror, and the storyline of Life Model Decoy, which is more on the sci-fi genre.

Indeed, the writing efforts to put these elements together was seamless. The mystical known as Darkhold was a prominent figure throughout the story thread of Robbie. This also serves as Aida’s catalyst for building the Framework, and it is just right that its keeper will return to stop the world destruction that Aida is planning.

As Aida is now human, whose agony and anger rooted from a deep emotional wound, a question will then arise, whether the Spirit of Vengeance will consider her as worthy of a judgment and claim her soul after burning her or deal with her in some other way. Her emotional pain has been her driving force to create a worldwide devastation; surely, she will not easily give up without giving a fight. Season 4 finale of “Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D” will be exciting.
