"Mayan MC," the spinoff of the successful "Sons of Anarchy" series, is well on its way, and it keeps adding new cast members. It has now tapped "Narcos" alum Maurice Compte and Venezuelan actress Carla Baratta. The announcement follows the confirmation that Raymond Cruz, "Breaking Bad" favorite, has also been cast.

Which roles will they play

Maurice Compte is taking on the role of a DEA agent. His assignment is to hunt down Miguel Castillo, the kingpin of Galindo Cartel, which kind of became an obsession for him. Compte's role could recur if "Mayan MC" is picked up to series, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

Carla Baratta, meanwhile, is playing Carnalita who provides protection to children orphaned by the Galindo Cartel. Her own family died at the hands of the cartel.

Earlier this month, Raymond Cruz, who played Tuco in "Breaking Bad," was announced to join the "Sons of Anarchy" spinoff. He is set to play Che "Padres" Romero, a member of the Mayans MC charter.

Compte is known for his role in "Narcos" (2015-2016) as a Columbian police who is part of hunting down the cocaine kingpin Pablo Escobar. He also appeared in "From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series" (2016) and "A Walk Among the Tombstones" (2014). Baratta is known for her role in "Bleep" (2014) and "Prueba de Fe" (2016). Cruz has been part of "Major Crimes" since 2012 and is known for his role in "Training Day" (2001) and "The Closer" (2005-2012).

He also appeared in "Better Call Saul" (2015-2016).

Compte, Baratta and Cruz are joining the other cast members, which include, J.D. Pardo (Ezekiel "EZ" Reyes), Edward James Olmos (Felipe Reyes), Jacqueline Obradors (Marisol Reyes), John Ortiz (Esai "Taino" Osorio), Antonio Jaramillo (Michael "Riz" Ariza), Richard Cabral (Johnny "El Coco" Cruz), Clayton Cardenas (Angel Reyes), Sarah Bolger (Emily), and Emilio Rivera (Marcus Alvarez).

'Mayans MC' pilot schedule

FX announced late last year that it has ordered a pilot episode for the spinoff of "Sons of Anarchy," which had a successful seven-season run. The pilot episode is written and directed by Kurt Sutter. He is producing "Mayans MC" along with Elgin James, per EW. Two days ago, Sutter posted a photo on Instagram to share that they pilot episode for "Mayans MC" has wrapped up production.

"Mayans MC" is set after the death of Jax Teller. It will focus on Ezekiel "EZ" Reyes as he seeks vengeance against the cartel which destroyed his American dream. No specific air date has been announced yet, but the pilot is slated for a December release this year.
