Mr. T, whose real name is Lawrence Tureaud, and his professional partner Kym Herjavec were eliminated from "Dancing with the Stars" on Monday, April 10 during the fourth week of competition. Before leaving the show, the former pro wrestler performed a waltz to "Amazing Grace" during the "Most Memorable Year" episode. The 64-year-old former "A-Team" star dedicated his dance to the children at St. Jude Children Research Hospital and Shriners Hospital for Children.

Mr. T's story

Before his dance, Mr. T shared with viewers and reflected on 1995 when he was diagnosed with T-cell lymphoma.

He said his faith brought him through that challenging year, and it was because of God's grace he has been cancer free for 22 years. The former actor said every time he hears "Amazing Grace," it sends chills to his body. He added that he wanted to honor God through his dance because it was by the grace of God that he overcame his battle with cancer.

Mr. T's story was inspiring, and fans were sorry he was eliminated. Unfortunately, someone had to be eliminated based on the combined total of the judges' scores and viewers' votes from last week. The four judges, Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman, Julianne Hough and Bruno Tonioli all thought very highly of Mr. T. Head Judge Goodman remarked that Kym and Mr.

T are definitely the A team. Hough said she was choked up because God is good.

Even though Mr. T's story was inspiring, he and Kym earned a score of 28 out of 40 for their performance. Each week someone has to be eliminated and it's was Mr. T's time to go. He didn't go crying, but he left gracefully. As he walked out onto the dance floor for a final time, he said it had been a great experience, and he had enjoyed himself.

Also in the bottom were Erika Girardi and Gleb Savchenko. They received a score of 30 after Dancing the cha cha to Madonna's “Express Yourself.” Len wants to see more content in her dances and less sexiness. Unless she gets enough viewers' votes, she might be the one eliminated next week.

Emotional episode

It was an emotional night for all the competitors on "Dancing With The Stars" on Monday evening during the show's most memorable year episode.

Celebrities first identified a year that impacted their lives, and then they told the story through their dance. All of the contestants revealed heartwarming stories. What made the episode so special was that most of the dancers had members in the audience that were part of their stories. Those people joined in the routine in a small way either at the beginning or end of the performances.
