American reality television personality, businesswoman, and model Kim Kardashian made an appearance in her first TV interview since she got robbed at gunpoint in Paris last year in October.

After staying out of the limelight since the unfortunate robbery, the 36-year-old mother of two children, North and Saint West, was a guest on the Ellen DeGeneres show on Thursday.

Kim Kardashian who stars in the popular Reality TV show "Keeping up with the Kardashians" along with her mother Kris Jenner and sisters Kourtney, Khloe, Kendall, and Kylie, got quite emotional during the interview and claimed that she is a changed person after getting robbed at gunpoint in France.

The theft caused a lot of material, emotional and financial damage to Kim Kardashian West who is married to 39-year-old Rapper Kanye West since the year 2014. She reportedly lost jewelry that was worth millions of dollars and also her famous 20 karat engagement diamond ring that was worth $4 million alone.

The social media mogul got all teary-eyed during her interview with Ellen DeGeneres and insisted that she's a changed woman following her robbery at gunpoint in Paris on October 3rd, 2016.

The reality TV star claims that she was 'grateful' for the wake-up call and she hardly finds any attachment for material things now.

Telling more about the aftermath of the horrible experience she said: 'I know it sounds crazy, but I know that was meant to happen to me,' the 36-year-old further added 'I feel like I'm such a different person.'

She says that she does not want to feel down because of what happened that day and that she thinks everything in life happens to teach one a lesson.

She admitted that she was attached to material things previously but said that she sees nothing wrong in "having things" and trying to work hard to achieve those things. However, she claims that she just does not care about stuff like she previously used to. She also admitted that before the robbery took place, she would show off her material stuff whatever it may be, whether a piece of jewelry or car but now she is going to refrain from showing off on social media.

Kim also revealed that she still feels scared at times and that she did upgrade the security around her house and her family after the incident just to feel safer.
