It was no surprise that Charo was eliminated from Week 3 of "Dancing With The Stars." She and partner Keo Motsepe were the second couple to be eliminated from Season 24. Last week, Chris Kattan and Witney Carson were the first to be voted off. Charo had threatened to quit the ABC dance competition show if judges didn't give her better scores. Now, she doesn't have to quit because voters made that decision for her.
Couple's last dance
Keo and Charo performed a foxtrot to "Chapel of Love" during Las Vegas night. She was dressed in a blue wedding gown.
Engaged judge Julianne Hough said Charo gave her inspiration for her upcoming wedding. Charo and Keo earned a score of 24 out of 40. Even host Tom Bergeron and the judges noticed that the "cuchi cuchi" dancer was more subdued in the ballroom. Apparently, she had been advised not to be so wild.
Keo's partners
It is so unfortunate that pro dancer Keo, whose real name is Keoikantse Motsepe, doesn't get better partners. The South Africa-born dancer is the only black professional dancer to be on "Dancing with the Stars" in 24 seasons. He has been eliminated early in every season since he started in Season 19 in 2014.
The first time the 25-year-old dancer appeared on "Dancing with the Stars," he was partnered with Olympic athlete Lolo Jones.
They were the first to be eliminated after competing for only one week. The next season, Keo was paired with model Charlotte McKinney. They were eliminated in the third week of competition. In Season 21, he was paired with singer Chaka Khan. They were the first couple eliminated. For Season 22, Keo was partnered with actress Jodie Sweetin.
Keo lasted longer on that season. He wasn't eliminated until the eighth week of competition. He returned for Season 23 as a troupe member. He came back as a pro dancer for Season 24. He and partner actress Charo were the second couple to be eliminated.
Even though Charo and Keo were eliminated, Keo will probably stick around and dance with the troupe for the remainder of the season. Why do you think Keo and his partners are usually eliminated during the first weeks of competition?
