Guardians Of The Galaxy” star Chris Pratt recently opened up in an interview with Cigar Aficionado magazine for their latest issue. The 37-year-old hunk admitted that he doesn’t like to take selfies with fans in the streets, saying he needs to be more economical with his time. He went on to say he has learned the art of being “comfortable disappointing people.”

Selfies a no-no for Chris Pratt

Pratt is married to actress wife Anna Faris, with whom he has a four-year-old son, Jack. He was asked by Cigar Aficionado magazine why he doesn’t pose for photos with his admirers.

Pratt said he has always been a “pretty deferential, go-with-the-flow” person, but he nowadays has to be more “economical” with his time.

According to a report by Independent Online, Pratt said he wants to be able to go out and do normal things, just like everyone else. To do this he has learned to be comfortable while disappointing fans. He said that taking selfies with fans is not about enjoying the moment. He says it’s more about someone stealing the moment in order to be able to brag about it later. He reportedly asks fans if they would settle for a handshake, but then they go ahead and take the photo anyway.

‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ star misses normal interaction

Pratt went on to say how much he misses his former life, prior to being in the Hollywood spotlight.

He looks back fondly to a time when he could chat to people he didn’t know, who would have no preconceptions about him. Nowadays people he meets already had a conception of him before they met him and he said it is difficult sometimes to do things that you used to be able to do spontaneously.

As reported by USA Weekly, Pratt is a Minnesota native and was actually living out of his car before he made it big.

His first major role was in the television series “Everwood.” He then appeared as Andy Dwyer on “Parks and Recreation over seven seasons before finally getting into Hollywood with the 2014 film “Guardians of the Galaxy.”

Pratt went on to talk about the wrap of the sequel film, “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” in London recently.

He mentioned how polite the English are, saying he was smoking little cigars on the set which is, reportedly, illegal. Chris Pratt went on to say the Brits were very reluctant to tell him that it was against the law, but when they finally did, he told them that it was cool and to let him know when the cops arrive. He added that this was his one little “diva thing.”

The full interview with Cigar Aficionado will appear in their June issue.
