According to Variety, most of the mega-budget movies will open in China throughout May, June, and July. Hollywood has recently released its schedule of summer movies. The lineup of biggest and most anticipated films includes “#Pirates 5,” “Transformers 5,” and “#Wonder Woman.” In the past, China’s film regulators scheduled Hollywood movies just two to four weeks in advance, which hampered local marketing campaigns.

“Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” is scheduled to be released on May 26, 2017. In China, this movie will be released in RealD 3D, IMAX 3D, and Disney Digital 3-D formats.
The movie is directed by Espen Sandberg and Joachim Rønning, with a script by Jeff Nathanson. Jerry Bruckheimer serves as the producer. Kevin McNally, Geoffrey Rush, and Johnny Depp are reprising their roles from the previous installment as Joshamee, Hector, and Jack, respectively. Javier Bardem, Brenton Thwaites, and Kaya Scodelario will make a debut in this film. Depp plays Jack Sparrow, a noble pirate captain who is on the hunt for the Trident of Poseidon. Espen reveals that the movie will have much more of the feel of previous installments.
“Transformers: The Last Knight” will swing into the theaters on June 23, 2017. Paramount Pictures acquires the US and China distribution rights. This science fiction movie is based on the toy line by Hasbro.

Bay has revealed that this movie marks his final picture in the franchise. In the absence of Optimus Prime, a battle has commenced between humans and the Transformers. Paramount Pictures has spent over $70 million on production in Michigan. Industrial Light & Magic serve as the visual effects company.
“Wonder Woman” is one of the most anticipated films of the year. This fictional superhero movie is based on a book by DC Comics. Gal Gadot plays Princess Diana of Themyscira. During Marston's run, Diana served as an army nurse. This movie is scripted by William Moulton Marston, and the famous artist Harry G. Peter is being credited for the unusual appearance of Gadot’s character. Gadot reveals that Beyonce helped her get the leading role in "Wonder Woman."
China’s film regulators confirm that “Smurfs: The Lost Village” will be released on April 21, followed by “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” on May 5.
