Project director Christopher McQuarrie set a new trend in recruiting his stars. He resorted to Instagram, a novel concept. He interviewed Superman star Henry Cavill on Instagram, offered him a role in “Mission: Impossible 6” and, also, apprised him of what to expect in the movie. Since it was an online affair, fans expressed their feelings and requested Cavill to accept the offer.
New team for the sixth installment
Daily Mail reports that the matter is finalized and, the 33-year-old Henry Cavill will be seen in action alongside 54-year-old Tom Cruise in the sixth installment of the action movie franchise.
In the ‘interview’ the project's director Christopher McQuarrie wanted to know if Henry was interested in working in “Mission: Impossible 6”. McQuarrie also added that, if he does join, he may have to take part in perilous tasks as required in the new role. Some of the activities that McQuarrie mentioned are common to “Mission Impossible” and include exposure to extreme heights, high speeds, motor vehicles including airborne apart from practical stunts, firearms, and sporadic exposition. Henry Cavill accepted the offer but, there is suspense on the role he will portray. Whatever, it is, it should fit in with his existing image.
The cast members of Tom Cruise, namely Rebecca Ferguson and Jeremy Renner, are set to return in the latest adventures.
Christopher McQuarrie will be the director – he made his debut in 2015 with the fifth installment “Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation.” Producers of this movie are Tom Cruise, J. J. Abrams, Don Granger, and Skydance Production's David Ellison and Dana Goldberg.
The movie is expected to hit the theaters in July 2018.
