Paris Jackson, the daughter of Michael Jackson, signed a contract with Img Models and is now officially a model. The 18-year old beauty, daughter of the late pop king Michael Jackson, joins other top IMG models like Gisele Bundchen and Kaia Gerber.
Ivan Bart welcomes Paris Jackson to IMG Models
On Thursday, IMG President, Ivan Bart shared the news and welcomed Ms. Jackson via Instagram and also posted a striking picture of her. In reply to this, Paris thanked him in a Twitter message and said she is blessed and happy to be a part of IMG models.
It was in January that Paris hired the manager of Rod Stewart to help her with launching her modeling career.
She has, on numerous occasions, expressed her interest and desire towards modeling and acting.
Ms. Jackson has a style of her own
It was during the last year that Paris Jackson slowly climbed her way into the limelight. At the Grammys, she championed for #NoDAPL and her choice of fashion always proved that she has her own style. Last month, she appeared on the cover of “CR Fashion Book” and it was Mario Sorrenti who photographed her.
Full family support
After the death of her father, Michael Jackson in 2009, Paris Jackson was raised by her uncle Jackie Jackson. In one of his recent interviews, he said that the family will provide her full support and help her with the career of her choice.
Paris, in an interview with Rolling Stone magazine, said that after completing her high school education in 2015, she spent a year at community college.
It was then that she decided to do something else with her career. She said that she had self-esteem issues and feels that a lot of people think that she looks ugly and a lot of others don’t.
A career in acting also in the works
Paris not only has an eye for modeling, but is also interested in making a career in acting. The 18-year old daughter of the late pop star has bagged a role in Fox’s upcoming series “Star.” When asked whether she had any plans to follow the footsteps of her father, into the world of music, she said that she had not yet decided what she wanted to do.
With this deal with IMG models, it is sure that Paris Jackson has cemented a place for herself in the fashion industry.
