Who does Bart Simpson's voice? Many fans of "The Simpsons" know that the 59-year-old actress behind the voice of the oldest Simpson child, and only male, is Nancy Cartwright. However, TMZ recently came into possession of video footage of a 13-year-old boy, out fundraising for his school at a mall in Sherman Oaks, California, who was approached by the actress, and appeared not to recognize who she was, even after she went into Bart's voice. Ms. Cartwright started by asking the boy what school he was raising funds for.

After replying thoughtfully and politely, the teen explained that his goal was to sell seven boxes, and that he was already on his sixth.

Seemingly impressed with the youngster's accomplishment, Nancy asked the boy, "Seriously?" and then turned to astonishment. She stated, "Dude!"

Teen surprised to learn Bart Simpson voiced by 59-year-old woman

The voice of Bart Simpson asked the student how old he was, guessing that he was 14. The young man clarified that he was 13 years old, and in 8th grade. The actress then apologized to the boy, apparently for no reason, other than in sympathy with his situation, before changing her voice to Bart Simpson's, saying, "I'm 10 and I go to Springfield Elementary. I'm Bart Simpson, put 'er there man," and holding her fist up for the teen to bump.

"That's a really good impression," the teen complimented the voice behind Bart Simpson, seemingly not realizing who she really was.

This caused Nancy to laugh, and slyly ask the boy if he knew "the guy that does" Bart Simpson's voice on "The Simpsons." At a loss, the boy looked blankly at the Emmy Award winner, as she prompted him to think about who does Bart Simpson's voice.

Generous actress buys entire case of chocolates

Then, after offering to shake the student fundraiser's hand in Bart Simpson's voice, his jaw dropped, and a look of clarity overcame him.

He said, "Ohhh," as Nancy told him how "cute" he is. She then turned back to Bart's voice, and asked him, "What's happening man? High five dude." The actress bought 10 of the items, seemingly chocolate covered almonds, the student was selling, and called the boy's school a "great" one.

The young man thanked the actress profusely as he loaded her up with chocolates, and she called him "sweet." Later, in her car, Nancy returned to where the boy was selling the chocolates, and gave him her autograph, as he thanked her again for her generosity. "The Simpsons" has run for 28 seasons after being spun-off from The Tracey Ullman Show in 1989, and has won 31 Emmy Awards.
