The show "Married at First Sight" hasn't had a very good track record lately and it turns out that another couple is getting a divorce. Sonia Granados and Nick Pendergrast have been married for a year, but they are now calling it quits. It did look like this couple was going to be able to make it work, but that isn't the case at all.

Sonia and Nick reveal what is going on

Nick and Sonia were a successful couple from season four of "Married at First Sight." They ended the show by staying together, which was surprising considering how many couples haven't made it on the show.

Today the couple announced that they are getting a divorce in a joint statement. Here is what Nick and Sonia had to say.

"We are sad to share that after almost a year of marriage we have decided to separate and file for divorce. Thank you in advance for your love and support through this difficult time! We look forward to growing and continuing to learn about ourselves from what we still consider to be a meaningful experience with ‘MAFS.'”

It sounds like things just didn't work out for Sonia and Nick. So far, they aren't really sharing any details about why they are getting a divorce. The thing is these couples don't know each other at all when they get married, so it is hard to make that kind of marriage work.

Only a few couples have been able to last. Sonia did tweet saying they are "still a love story." Hopefully, that means that they are on good terms and all is well with them. There are only three other couples from the show that are still together. Jamie Otis and Doug Hehner are actually expecting their first child now. The first season of the show had two couples that were able to make it work.
