Inhumans has done it again with their casting with the recent announcement of Ken Leung joining their series as Karnak. Fans of the comic will know that Karnak is the cousin and closest advisor of the king of the Attilan people Black Bolt. Karnak is an Inhuman like the rest of the royal family, so he will have a special ability as well. He is a cunning martial artist with the ability to read and expose weaknesses in his opponents. Karnak has a knack for puzzles, problem-solving, and strategic planning as well. Moreover, he is the biggest supporter of his cousin Black Bolt and he holds a firm place in the hierarchy of the family.

This casting is big news, following the recent announcements about the leading roles in “Inhumans.”

Miles returns from the island

Inhumans” has cast Ken Leung as Karnak and the casting is a pleasant one. Leung has been in significant roles as Miles Straume on the hit television show “Lost” and Admiral Statura in the hit movie “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” He is no stranger to being in action adventure oriented dramas, so his inclusion is helping the cast of the “Inhumans” show round out well. Karnak is a very wise character with a large role in the story of the royal family in “Inhumans,” so Leung is the perfect choice. Furthermore, he also embodies the physical appearance of the character almost uncannily.

Loeb approves wholeheartedly

Ken brings both a wisdom and a power to the role that no one else could match. His Karnak will be awesome,” said Marvel head of television and executive producer, Jeph Loeb.

Marvel knows good creative teams

Ken Leung has a great natural intelligence that reads clearly and will add depth and complexity to the very complicated character of Karnak," added executive producer Scott Buck (Marvel's Iron Fist).

Big names for regal frames

Inhumans” has been making a lot of headlines with their casting announcements over the last week. Anson Mount from “Hell on Wheels” is set to play Black Bolt who is king of the Attilan people, Serinda Swan from “Graceland” will play the regal Medusa, and Iwan Rheon from Game of Thrones will play the devious Maximus the Mad.

The whole show seems like it is setting up to be a healthy mix of “Thor” and “Game of Thrones” with a large focus on being a family character drama. There could be a possibility for cameos or even crossovers on the new Marvel show as well, but nothing concrete has been confirmed yet.

More in the future!

Inhumans” is set to debut in September in IMAX theaters everywhere for a two week run of the first two episodes. The show will then premiere on ABC for the rest of the six episodes in the eight episode series. The first season of the show will only have eight episodes, but there is a promise of more to come if the show does well. With the casting being this superb, it would be hard to see “Inhumans” not succeed when it premieres on network television on September 26, 2017.
