The news recently came out that Sig Hansen's daughter is accusing him of molesting her thirty years ago when she was just two-years-old. This has everyone curious what that will mean for "Deadliest Catch, " and it turns out that it won't be mean anything according to a rep for the show. The fans were really concerned that the show could end up canceled or at least put off for a while during the lawsuit.

What did the rep for the show reveal?

A rep for the show actually spoke out to Fox News and shared the details about what this means for "Deadliest Catch." The rep spoke out and said, "A court reviewed the facts 25 years ago and found there was no merit to the allegations.

Out of respect for the family and all those involved, we will refrain from commenting any further. This does not impact the show." Fans are really happy to know that "Deadliest Catch" will still be around and isn't going anywhere.

Sig's daughter Melissa is really upset and saying that she has a lot of problems now from what her father allegedly did to her years ago. She said that because of this she now has depression, eating disorders, suicidal thoughts, and other trauma. Hansen is saying that this is all totally false and it is the same things his ex-wife accused him of when trying to take their daughter Melissa away from him years ago. It is now being brought up once again in this lawsuit, but Sig is making sure everyone knows that he is saying that he is innocent and didn't do anything wrong at all.

Accusations like this can get a show canceled if they are true. "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" and "19 Kids and Counting" were both canceled after sexual situations were revealed. The difference is that the woman Mama June was with actually spent time in jail and Josh Duggar admitted to the things he was accused of doing.

Are you glad to hear that "Deadliest Catch" won't be impacted by these allegations? What do you think of Sig Hansen's daughter accusing him so many years later? Sound off in the comments section below on your thoughts.
