At this time it is not known just how involved Landon's new character will be with the other residents of Salem. Landon will make her "Days" debut in the very near future, as her storyline begins when she meets Nicole while she and Brady are running away from Salem and Chloe with baby daughter Holly.

'Days' fans reveal they are still nervous about the fate of the long-running daytime drama

Jen Landon is best known in the soap world as Gwen Norbeck Munson on another popular daytime soap, "As the World Turns." Landon played the scrappy and outspoken Gwen, winning three consecutive Emmy's for the role in 2006, 2007, and 2008. Landon's most recent soap adventure, however, was on the "Young and the Restless" in 2012, where she played Heather Stevens, a hard working Genoa City lawyer.

Her time on "Y&R" was brief, and her last appearance on daytime television until now. During her soap hiatus, Jen appeared in the horror film, "I Spit On Your Grave: Vengence is Mine" in 2015, as well as recurring television roles as Amy on "Animal Kingdom," and Lillith on " Banshee." Landon got her first television credit in 1989 thanks to her father Michael as "Little Girl in White Dress" on another of Michael's TV hits, "Highway to Heaven."

In more "Days" news and spoilers, it was previously reported that actress Arianne Zucker (Nicole) would be leaving the soap after twenty years, along with the news of a new cast member (Landon).

The comings and goings on the popular daytime soap still have longtime fans very concerned about the show's future. Fans believe the exit of too many beloved characters such as Sami Brady, Bo Brady, EJ DiMera, and Daniel Jones over the past few years is costing the show serious viewers. Despite the news of a new one-year contract renewal, the thoughts of all the earlier cancellation talk is still on fans' minds.
