Hey, "Vampire Diaries" peeps. We recently got the new,official spoiler dish for the upcoming episode 14 of this final season 8, straight from the press release desk of The CW. They kept things way shorter than usual this time, only releasing two storyline scoops. They do sound like they will keep the intensity high, though, telling us that Cade will apparently either be out to get his hands on Elena's casket, or already have it in his possession! We're also going to see Caroline and Alaric, busy trying to figure out what to do about their twin daughters' ever-growing powers.
The rescue attempt
They let us know that they decided to name this one: "It's Been a Hell of a Ride." According to the official description, it turns out that we'll either see Cade going after Elena's casket at some point, or already have it, because they tell us that Stefan and Damon will be busy, teaming up against Cade in an effort to save the casket. They didn't specify if Cade already has it, or is about to have it. One thing we do know, is that it will most certainly be in jeopardy, because Cade is one evil SOB. Also, what will Stefan, who is just a mere human now, and Damon ever be able to come up with to stop the likes of Cade? That's another big question for this scenario.
The kids are getting to be too much
Next, we have the second and last scoop for this episode. It involves those magical twin kids of Alaric and Caroline. Apparently, they're going to have them be very busy, trying to figure out what to do about their burgeoning powers, as CW describes it. Will things get out of control? Or will Caroline and Alaric be able to contain the situation, whatever it may be?
Also, they didn't elaborate on how wild the kids' powers actually get, so that'll be another interesting fact to find out when this thing finally airs next week. The writing team of Brett Matthews & Shukree Hassan Tilghman served up the script, and Pascal Verschooris handled all the directing.

However, it's expected that they will drop a new promo clip after episode 13 airs tonight, like they always do, so be sure to look out for that. We can also confirm that this thing is due out next Friday, February 24th, 2017 at 7pm central time on The CW. Stay tuned.
