We all know Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan will be heating up 2017 in the upcoming “Fifty Shades Darker,” but a new TV spot suggests the title is referring to more than just the fictional couple’s sexual escapades. While slightly more than 30 seconds long, the teaser features Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey as the starring couple, navigating a complicated romance, while also seeking to elude outside obstacles that may threaten their lives as well as their happiness.

The chemistry between the two stars of this franchise is so compelling that rumors have sprouted about a possible real life romance between Johnson and Dornan. While that may just be the product of fan fancies, the teased scenes for this "Fifty Shades of Grey" sequel are as passionate as ever. The pair of actors seem even more heated as the film’s kinky lovers.
As the teaser opens, we pick up where the previous film left off with Christian trying to woo Anastasia back and, in a rather quick assembly of scenes, we see that the male lead of "Fifty Shades Darker" has succeeded in luring Ms. Steele back into his bed.
It’s at this point in the teaser that their passionate love affair is teased, revealing scenes of lust fueled eroticism that are almost enough to melt screens everywhere. Both Dakota and Jamie throw themselves into their roles, letting their “Fifty Shades Darker” characters take control and dominate them, just as Jamie seeks to dominate Anastasia.

However, almost as soon as Anastasia gushes over her reignited love affair with Dornan’s Grey, things begin to go awry. Danger begins to threaten Christian and Ms. Steele, when a woman begins stalking the couple, something Johnson’s character is quick to notice.
As the pace of this “Fifty Shades Darker” teaser picks up, this familiar face from Christian’s past asserts herself in a way that ensures she will not be ignored.
Nor will she be quietly dealt with, as Grey no doubt intends at first. Instead this woman steps up her game with active threats and intimidating acts of vandalism.
While there’s no telling just how far this mysterious visitor from the past takes things, the "Fifty Shades Darker" TV spot alludes to a greater threat from her. At one point, Mr. Grey shares his fear that Anastasia may come to some bad end at the hands of this jealous ex-lover.
Fans will have to wait to find out how Anastasia Steele battles through this new threat when “Fifty Shades Darker” hits theaters on February 10, 2017.
