Season 8 of "Teen Mom 2" premiered a few nights ago. The mothers embarked on their separate journeys, and fans witnessed the good, bad, and ugly. Pregnancies, a divorce, and a trial were showcased to the public in epic fashion. However, devotees never forgot about the program's original stars. Even though producers left with their cameras in tow, the women never stopped rolling. With the New Year's Eve parties now a hangover from the past, Maci Bookout, Farrah Abraham, Amber Portwood, and Catelynn Lowell toasted to new beginnings. Cheers, ladies!

Bookout booked a gig

Maci Bookout was known as the sassy yet sedulous woman on-screen. She battled through her insecurities and doubts for the sake of her firstborn, Bentley. Since her break-up with incompatible men, she finally found her prince. She married her fiancé, Taylor McKinney, last October. They fought for a better life for themselves and their other two children, Jayde and Maverick. They're always grinding to protect and provide. A paragon of perseverance came in a new opportunity for Bookout. Why not have fun and make money at the same time?

Abraham lavished in luxury

Farrah Abraham's never been a tomboy. Her dreams went beyond tire swings and sports; she's an aspiring queen. Abraham's businesses (Furnished by Farrah and Froco) further monetized her brand.

When Christmas 2016 commenced, her daughter, Sophia, was spoiled with opulent gifts. A Jacuzzi, golf cart, and miniature pony were just a few of many presents Santa Claus gave. On Instagram, Abraham expressed, "Sophia & I had one of our best years ever! woo-hoo!!! & we're truly grateful for all the exciting new things to come in 2017." With Abraham's personality in mind, her other ventures might become a reality.

Portwood's makeovers

Amber Portwood struggled with a myriad of issues. Audiences watched her heartbreaking battles with addiction and mental illness. After her release from prison, she transformed into a victor. People noticed her triumphs from published autobiographies to sobriety. Unfortunately, her self-image mirrored a poor reflection.

She wasn't happy with her outer appearance, so she readied herself for plastic surgery. Hopefully, her self-esteem skyrocketed after the intense treatment.

Lowell's victories

Like Portwood, Catelynn Lowell overcame depression and anxiety. Last season, viewers sympathized with her bouts of sadness and panic attacks. Through medicinal marijuana, she coped with her issues. For specialized assistance, she flew to a rehabilitation center for in-depth ministration. Since she completed treatment, her daily life seemed healthier. Lowell spent more quality time with her husband, Tyler Baltierra, and toddler, Novalee. While Lowell continued to heal, let's hope 2017 will bring her much joy.
