A rogue #Duggar wedding? That's what Jeremy Vuolo and Jinger Duggar are planning and their nuptials don't include the parents Jim Bob or Michelle Duggar. The "Jill & Jessa: Counting On" reality TV couple has flouted courtship, hands-off engagement and now even marriage traditions, saying they're doing relationships their way. Family members hint Jinger will be pregnant in the new year, so that suggests a wedding in the next two months. The couple are keeping wedding plans secret but say it will be small, so a destination wedding leaps to mind.
Why all the hushed rush with these two?
Jinger Duggar wants it her way
Duggar says she's going for something very different than her other married siblings: Josh and Anna Duggar, Jill Duggar Dillard and husband Derick and Jessa Duggar Seewald and Ben Seewald. Normally Duggar weddings are huge televised affairs with TLC, Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar milking the event to the max. So Jinger didn't say mom and dad wouldn't be invited, but just not as involved (read: controlling?) as they typically are.
Jinger Duggar wants private wedding
It's never said but everywhere implied that Ms. Duggar and her boyfriend Jeremy don't want the big to-do because they've seen how public the siblings' weddings were. And that's the last thing they need right now. The family got tons of bad PR after eldest son Josh Duggar admitted to molesting sisters Jana Duggar and others. He was also caught up in the Ashley Madison cyber-cheating scandal and admitted to hooking up with a hooker.
Jinger Duggar creates or avoids scandal?
After the year the Duggar family had, with the sex scandal and cancellation of "19 Kids and Counting" it's no wonder Jinger would want to avoid a public spectacle.
This intimate affair would bypass negative press that might jeopardize her siblings, mom Michelle and dad Jim Bob Duggar or her new life. As a pastor, Jeremy may be counseling his wife-to-be and himself on how best to please God. He may be pushing for a Biblical ceremony focused on their union, not a publicity stunt. A destination wedding (what used to be called elopement) might figure in their secret plans.
Jinger Duggar hurries husband to the altar?
A shotgun wedding usually means one thing in the Philistine mind--unplanned pregnancy. Derick Dillard dropped a bombshell when he promised that Jinger would be joining sister Jessa Duggar being pregnant in 2017. That indicates they'll be hitched by Christmas. Jinger's flouted her parent's courtship rules about no touching before marriage but only by sitting side by side, occasional full frontal hugs and hand-holding.
Jinger Duggar, Jeremy Vuolo too in love to wait
As for premarital sex or even kissing, the kids are going with Georgia Satellites on this--no huggy, no kissy till they get wedding vows.
Listening to the happy couple, it sounds like it might be Jeremy pushing her to put a ring on it. The most probable reason for the apparent rush of the wedding is the back-dating of shows. What breaks as news actually happened months ago while filming. And let's face it, it's pretty hard to keep your hands to yourself and wait for that first kiss (etc) when you're already committed to each other. #Counting On #RealityTV
