For Spring 2016, Flix Premiere is set to change the game for Hollywood, movie lovers, and filmmakers around the world. The company has an innovative business model for showcasing new and original content. While there are currently a few well-known online streaming players like: Netflix, Amazon, Apple TV, and Hulu, CEO Martin Warner, plans to give viewers an exclusive cinema experience by adding a new and exciting twist to how viewers watch movies.

What does this mean exactly? This means the Flix Premiere platform will allow the consumer to have a first hand experience to watch curated and unique theatrical quality content. As new titles are featured on the site, the consumer will have the exclusive opportunity to view never before seen movies first.

Statistics on films  

The reason this is so important is that according film statistics, 95% of films made 'never' find their audience or recover their investment due a traditional distribution model. In a recent quote from Warner, he stated that "Movie-goers around the world will now have a credible, exciting new alternative to theaters, and VOD platforms and we promise to release theatrical worthy movie premieres that have never been seen before".

This model for creating film content is a definite win for the filmmaker and the audience. It is no secret that the majority of great films made have become way too expensive to fund, difficult to discover,and even harder to market. Though some films have a life during festivals, the life after these events can end very quickly leaving so many hidden gems undiscovered.

The announcement at Cannes 2016

The US and UK version of the Flix Premiere site is scheduled for launch at the end of May 2016. During the 2016 69th Festival de Cannes, CEO, Martin Warner will discuss his platform in depth as part of the the Cannes Film Market NEXT program. Readily providing the information to an audience should be well received and with that said, it is apparent that Warner truly believes that consumers would love to be able to assess the value of new motion picture content by having a first look.
