Marvel studios just announced the sequel to this year Ant-Man, the movie starring Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly is getting a second part title Ant Man and the Wasp with a release date for July 6th of 2018.

Ant Man tells the story of Scott Lang a master thief just released from prison who ultimately becomes a superhero with a suit that allows him to shrink size and gives him superhuman strength. And he also has the very peculiar power of controlling ants.

The movie proved to be very successful both with critics and audiences, having a rating of 80% on Rottentomatoes.com and box office earnings of over 400 million dollars.

The film was also the last of the movies planned for phase 2 by Marvel studios and the phase 3 will begin next year with the release of Captain America Civil War on May 6th 2016.

Along with the announcement of Ant-Man 2, the studio also made changes to the release dates of other phase 3 movies with “Black Panther” being release onFebruary 16, 2018and “Captain Marvel” on March 8, 2019.

Black Panther will tell the story of the firstblack superhero in mainstream American comics with superhumanly acute senses, increase strength, speed, stamina, reflexes, and agility toOlympic-levels, the star of the movie will be actor Chadwick Boseman.

On the other hand Captain Marvel will feature the story of Carol Danvers a woman with superhuman strength, a limited precognitive "sixth sense", and a perfectly amalgamated human/Kree physiology that makes her resistant to most deadly toxins and poisons.

There are still no news on who will play the female superhero.

Other movies planned for phase 3 include the sequel to Guardians of The Galaxy, Avengers Infinity War part 1 and 2 and the still untitled Spiderman reboot with the last movie of phase 3 being Inhumans which is expected to hit theaters on July 12 of 2019.

There are still no official announcements on phase 4, but with the movies continuing to be huge box office hits is only a matter of time for Marvel to start planning more pictures for the franchise.
