"I have been inspired by all the women who have felt strong enough and powerful enough to stand up and tell their stories,” Oprah said at the Golden Globes, Variety reported. “This year, we became the story. Women who endured years of abuse because, like my mother, they had bills to pay and children to feed.”

“For too long, women have not been heard or believed if they dared to speak the truth, but their time is up. Their time is up.”

The world is still impressed with Oprah Winfrey's inspiring at the Golden Globes and everyone is praising the media mogul for saying the right words at a time like this.

Her speech came at a time when women are rigorously campaigning against abuse. Among the people who supported Oprah's Speech is Ivanka Trump And this did not seem to go down well with lots of people.

“Just saw Oprah’s empowering & inspiring speech at last night’s #GoldenGlobes,” she said on her father’s favorite social media platform. “Let’s all come together, women & men, & say #TimesUp.”

Her Twitter comment was faced with massive criticism. Many mocked her, and several others do not think she is honestly supporting Oprah. Hollywood stars took to Twitter to hint that Oprah’s speech might be about her father and it is just hypocritical of her to support it.

Twitter reactions about Ivanka's Tweet

Great! You can make a lofty donation to the Time’s Up Legal Defence Fund that is available to support your father’s accusers.” Alyssa Milano tweeted.

While writer Natasha Rothwell retweeted Ivanka’s tweet and simply wrote: “Your dad’s a predator.”

Popular outspoken model Chrissy Teigen could not hide her disgust when she tweeted “Ew go away.”

Journalist Jennifer Robin went straight to the point saying “This is the most hypocritical, clueless statement in her regrettable time in the WH.

Your father has a trail of victims and supported Roy Moore, Ivanka. You are indeed part of the problem” #complicated.

Many other people took to social media to remind Ivanka that her father, the president, has been accused of several sexual harassment claims which he denies, and the fact that Oprah’s speech could be talking about her father.

What we think about Ivanka's tweet

I am wondering what Ivanka's tweet is all about. It is true, everyone is allowed to stand up against a wrong situation but it is definitely wrong to do that when the problem circles around your family.

Donald Trump's comment in the 2005 leaked video just makes clear that the sexual harassment accusations may have some strong basis.

This leads us to this very important question. Is Ivanka in denial? Or is she trying to take herself out of the situation and criticize her own father publicly?

Either way, the public did not take it well and they never will.
