NBA.com has reported that the Toronto Raptors obliterated the Detroit Pistons with a 26-point victory at the Air Canada Center. The Toronto Raptors played a very solid game, as they shot 51.9 percent from the field, 35.1 percent from beyond the arc, and 84 percent from the free throw line. The Raptors also outrebounded (44-34) and out-assisted (30-19) the Detroit Pistons last night. The Pistons were short-handed with Avery Bradey and Boban Marjanovic not playing.

Andre Drummond records a double-double

Despite losing to the Toronto Raptors, Andre Drummond was still able to have a solid game last night.

He contributed 14 points, 11 rebounds, three assists, and three steals in 38 minutes of gameplay. He went 4-of-10 from the field and 6-of-6 from the charity stripe. The Detroit Pistons coaching staff permitted Drummond to run loose against the Toronto Raptors with him playing 38 minutes. The Eastern Conference is looking very weak this upcoming season, and this could be the chance for Detroit to make a deep run in the playoffs.

Ish Smith shows scoring talents

Ish Smith has always been criticized for his lack of scoring and his low shooting percentage. Last night against the Toronto Raptors, Ish Smith showed how much he has improved on the offensive end. He contributed 22 points, three rebounds, eight assists, two steals, and two blocks in 29 minutes of gameplay.

He shot the ball amazingly well last night, he went 10-of-14 from the field, 0-of-1 from beyond the arc, and 2-of-2 from the charity stripe. If Smith can continue to improve his offensive skills, he will surely become a complete player this upcoming NBA season.

Jonas Valenciunas grabs 11 rebounds

Andre Drummond was not the only guy who recorded a double-double, as Jonas Velenciunas also had himself a double-double night.

He contributed 18 points, 11 rebounds, two steals, and one block in just 22 minutes of gameplay. He went 8-of-12 from the field, 0-of-2 from beyond the arc, and 2-of-2 from the charity stripe. The Cleveland Cavaliers have dominated the Eastern Conference the past couple of years, but the Toronto Raptors are on a mission to dethrone LeBron James and the Cavs.

CJ Miles makes five three-pointers

Along with Valenciunas, CJ Miles also had an incredible game. He contributed 19 points (team high), two rebounds, three assists, one steal, and one block in just 15 minutes of gameplay. He went 6-of-9 from the field, 5-of-8 from beyond the arc, and 5-of-8 from the charity stripe. The Toronto Raptors will look to have another great season and to go deep in the playoffs this upcoming NBA season.
