Rob Gronkowski has been the best tight end in the NFL ever since he came into the league in 2010. He was the 42nd overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots. He played college football at Arizona, where he was a big star and won many awards.

Gronkowski was drafted in the second round of the 2010 NFL Draft because he missed the entire 2009 season due to back surgery, which caused his draft stock to fail. He has helped the Patriots go to three Super Bowls and win two. His absence because of injuries may have cost the Patriots more Super Bowl appearances because Gronk is the most crucial part of the Patriots offense and their best player besides Tom Brady.

What makes Gronk such a great NFL player?

Rob Gronkowski is a fantastic player, and if he continues playing like he did so far, he will go down as the best tight end in the history of the NFL. Even though Gronk missed a lot of games because of injuries, he holds almost every tight end record in the NFL. A complete tight end who excels at every part of the game, Gronk is a big player with a strong body, but he is still very quick.

Gronkowski is a nightmare to cover, as he is too big for the cornerbacks and too fast for linebackers to cover. Because of this, he can line up both as a wide receiver and a tight end and still be effective. He is a great blocker who understands the game so well and can have a great influence on the game even without the ball in his hands.

Gronk is a great route-runner with fantastic hands, and he has been Tom Brady's main target ever since he came into the league. Despite his reputation as a party boy, he is a big hard-worker and one of Bill Belichick's favorite players. He is so passionate about the game of football and a true New England Patriot. When the training camp starts you don't hear about Gronk anymore, and it is clear that Bill Belichick wouldn't keep him around if it wasn't like that.

Gronk is back!

Rob Gronkowski had surgery on his back last year and missed the last year's Super Bowl run by the Patriots. He recovered in the offseason and was in the Patriots lineup in the season opener. The Patriots got destroyed by the Chiefs in the season opener, and Gronk caught only two passes for 33 yards in that game.

Even though the Chiefs' defense played extremely well in that game, his poor performance sparked some questions.

Fans and questions wondered if the injuries had finally caught up with him and will he ever be back to his old self. But, just two weeks later those questions seem ridiculous. Gronkowski caught 14 passes for 205 yards and two touchdowns against the Saints and Texans even after tweaking his groin against the Saints in week two. With these performances, he proved that he is back and that the New England Patriots' fans don't have anything to worry about. And considering that he started to use Tom Brady's methods, he might just get even better, and that is a scary thought for the rest of the NFL.
