We can all see there is something wrong with the "leader" of America. Of course, Republican opponents are calling it bipartisan rhetoric. But, I’ll not get into how daft and/or inherently dishonest I think they have to be in order to continue defending the kook. Instead, I will try to actually demonstrate, in some small sense, just how Donald Trump could be considered mentally Unstable and unfit to be commander in chief of the world’s most powerful military.

Donald Trump -- Psychopath? Mentally unstable? Let the people decide

It becomes clearer, each day that passes, that Donald Trump is mentally unstable.

Which is probably why he won’t bring himself to resign. It would destroy his stroke-dependent ego. What I think he could be trying to do is to get driven out. Being driven from office, he would forever be able to blame his detractors and of course his own personal imaginary "fake news media" for it. I write these things because, well, in order to understand such a person as Donald Trump one sort of needs to be an armchair psychologist. It’s not that he is brilliant. I don’t believe him to be. It is that he is erratic, irrational, manipulative and dishonest. He would have made a great used car salesman. He is, however, ineffective, and terribly distressing as our American President.

I’m pretty sure the man is a psychopath.

That is merely my opinion. I could be mistaken. However, it’s important to note that he appears to rank pretty high in nearly every position on the Hare Psychopathy Checklist. It is an extensive list. I will let the reader take that step for themselves. But an abbreviated list is as follows;

  1. Glib and superficial charm
  2. Grossly over-inflated sense of self-worth
  3. Constant need for stimulation, boredom
  4. Pathological lying
  5. Conning, cheating, manipulativeness
  6. Lack of remorse or guilt
  7. Emotional poverty, limited range or depth of feeling.
  8. Lack of empathy, callousness
  9. Parasitic lifestyle. Intentional manipulative, selfish, and exploitative financial dependence on others reflected in low motivation and self-discipline, and an inability to complete responsibilities.
  10. Poor behavior control. Irritability, impatience, threats aggression and verbal abuse. Lack of anger control, temper outbursts.
  11. Promiscuous sexual behavior
  12. Early behavioral problems
  13. Unrealistic goals
  14. Impulsivity
  15. Irresponsibility
  16. Failure to accept responsibility for actions
  17. Many short term marital relationships.

Donald is erratic, irrational, manipulative, shallow and dishonest.

I’ll leave it to the reader to judge for themselves using their own observations. For myself, reading this checklist was, but for a few unknowns, like reading Donald’s living biography. You can say anything you want about him and he will probably not even hear it. If you accuse him of something, he will try and make it seem like it was your fault.

He lies pathologically. This has been clearly demonstrated by Donald Trump himself over the last year. I believe the number of lies is probably reaching upwards of 200 by now. The New York Times has a web page designed specifically for the purposes of keeping up with his The Donald’s lies. He seems confused over simple nuances of human behavior. He also seems to have a limited understanding of the English language. Yet, he sniffs arrogantly over what little he does grasp. If I were to describe my impression of Donald Trump in just five words it would be; erratic, irrational, manipulative, shallow and dishonest.
