Part of the reason President Trump can get away with all the chaos engulfing the White House is that despite the media's portrayal of him as a man who is not in control, the opposition is in real trouble. The Democrats lost swathes of support in their traditional heartlands during last year's presidential election and will be condemned to being out of power for years to come if they continue to behave the way they do.

They have never dealt with a President like this before

Barack Obama was once the party's greatest assets as they won two presidential elections under his leadership.

But with a controversial Republican president occupying the White House, who won substantial support from his voters and is quietly improving the economy, the Democrats are absolutely clueless about how to respond to such a controversial and enigmatic figure. They have never dealt with a president like this before.

The tactics they are employing to disrupt the Trump administration have varied from allying themselves with the Republicans to disrupt his plans to repeal Obamacare to degrading almost every single comment he makes and blowing them out of context. They will do everything possible to prevent the current president from experiencing any political success. With most of the mainstream media on their side and countless celebrities, it may seem impossible for any positive news to be circulated widely across the United States.

With mid-term elections approaching next year, the Democrats' show of unity against President Trump will do them no favors. If results like Republican Karen Handel's victory in the Georgia House can be repeated across the United States in 2018, the opposition is likely to face carnage at the hands of the electorate next year.

President Putin probably has better approval ratings than her

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi recently admitted that President Putin probably has better approval ratings than her. Many in her own party are now likely to be plotting against her. But she is not the only one in the Democrats' top ranks that may face removal.

Members of this party generally want a fresh start in regards to their current leadership.

If the Democrats succeeded in reorganizing themselves, it would be President Trump's worst nightmare. Considering there are many reports suggesting he is achieving notable success in repealing regulations that hinder businesses, none of the controversies from the White House ultimately matter to him. However, a strong opposition may keep him on his toes and could be a blessing in disguise.

For now, the President can relax knowing that he may win again in 2020 because his opponents are melting right before his eyes.
