Up next in the Russia story of real collusion vs left-wing hysteria, depending on who you ask, is the appearance of Donald Trump Jr. and Paul Manafort before the Senate Judiciary Committee Next Week. Trump Jr. has been in the news quite often lately for trolling Hillary on Twitter, and for taking a shot at liberals on Independence Day. In addition, we have seen much of him for meeting with Russian attorney Natalia Veselnitskaya in June 2016 at Trump Tower, where he believed he could gather "damaging information" over the Democratic President Nominee Hillary Clinton.

Meeting results in contradicting stories

According to ABC News, the meeting resulted in a 20-minute conversation about adopted Russian children, and "Her statements were vague, ambiguous and made no sense. No details or supporting information was provided or even offered. It quickly became clear that she had no meaningful information," said Trump Jr. in a statement on July 9th. The POTUS wasn't made aware of this meeting beforehand, leaving (D)Senator Mark Warner speechless.

Veselnitskaya's versions of the sit-down differed from Trump Jr.'s explanation. She explained to ABC News that she received a call from a Russian speaker she'd never talked to before, saying he worked for publicist Rob Goldstone and that he was organizing a meeting between her and Donald Trump Jr.

at a place and time disclosed during that phone conversation.

Before the meeting, Trump Jr. and Goldstone exchanged several e-mails, in which Goldstone informed Trump Jr. of incriminating information from the "Crown prosecutor of Russia." Goldstone said the information was on behalf of Russia and its governments support for Trump, to which Trump Jr.

replied, "I love it."

Former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort and President Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner were also present alongside Trump Jr. during the meeting. As reported by Fox News, Abbe Lowell, Kushner's attorney, stated on behalf of Kushner on July 19, that "He (Kushner) will continue to cooperate and appreciates the opportunity to assist in putting this matter to rest."

Kushner is scheduled to appear July 24, whereas Trump Jr.

and Manafort are scheduled for July 26. The hearing on the 26th, per the advisory, is said to be related to "oversight of the Foreign Agents Registration Act and attempt to influence U.S elections."

The aftermath

While we have no idea what will come of this investigation yet, we do know that it will most certainly fuel the mainstream media's fire. Most news organizations have been following this story for months on end, day after day, hour after hour. Some of these organizations have failed to speak of the repeal and replacement of the ACA (Obamacare), but can you blame them? "TrumpCare" has yet to come to fruition, even though the Republicans control the majority of the House and Senate.

We know Russia isn't going away soon.

It's been a story for as long as we can remember. Has this caused Congress to lose sight of what really matters, split by alter-egos depending on who the audience is?

The fact of the matter is that we, as a people, need to understand the truth behind the madness. However, losing sight of why this President was elected should remain at the top of the priority list for American's, regardless of whether you voted for him or not. The agenda Mr. Trump left behind on his campaign trail is still expected to be implemented.

Only time will tell.
