With the premiere of Outlanderseason 3 just months away, fans are already wondering about what they might be seeing when the series returns.

To tide everyone over, Caitriona Balfe, who plays Claire Beauchamp Randall Fraser, said the next season will give fans exactly what they want. She also hinted at an exciting steamy reunion of her character and James "Jamie" MacKenzie Fraser (Sam Heughan).

In addition to that, the 37-year-old Irish actress and model has given a little insight into her character's awkward reunion with first husband, Frank Randall (Tobias Menzies).

To recall, Claire Beauchamp and Frank Randall were separated for more than three years before she unexpectedly showed up pregnant with another man’s child.

“It’s very tough for her because this is a man who really didn’t do anything wrong,” The Daily Record quoted Balfe as saying during a recent press conference. “He was her first love, he was a good husband to her, but because of circumstances, she fell in love with someone else in a much deeper and much truer way than she ever did with Frank.”

When will Starz release the first full trailer for 'Outlander' Season 3?

Even though Balfe is spilling the details on the third season of “Outlander,” that has not stopped many fans from thinking about when the first full trailer will premiere.

That being said, speculations arose that the full “Outlander” Season 3 trailer might be released at the 2017 San Diego Comic Convention on July 19-23, 2017.

Diana Gabaldon shares new details about 'Outlander' prequel

The woman behind the “Outlander” franchise, Diana Gabaldon, has recently shed some light on the ninth novel of the series.

Even though the work on the prequel novel has not started yet, the American author already has an idea on what it will be about.

Speaking to The Radio Times, Gabaldon said the ninth novel of “Outlander” series is pretty much centered on the earlier Jacobite Rising in 1715, which brought about the Battle of Sheriffmuir. It will also focus on the love story of Jamie’s parents, Brian Fraser and Ellen MacKenzie.

Interestingly, Brian Fraser arrives at Castle Leoch and later falls in love with Ellen MacKenzie. With the help of his best friend Murtagh (Duncan Lacroix), Brian Fraser abducts Ellen MacKenzie from the palace.

Stay tuned for more updates as they arrive. While waiting, check out the first teaser trailer of “Outlander” Season 3 below.
