What a difference half a year makes. In October last year and then again in January, #Ivanka Trump was in the press for all the wrong reasons. She was being bruised and battered by the online #GrabYourWallet hash tag campaign. The campaign had been created by tech marketing whiz Shannon Coulter – who was relentless in her pursuit of Ivanka's brand – to resist President Trump's untoward and demeaning comments about women.

Then as the hastag campaign grew in popularity – and as rage and indignation amplified world wide – Ms Trump's fashion brand, aptly named #Ivanka Trump, was dropped like a hot potato by big retailers and eventually by Nordstrom.

Her business took a nose dive, her reputation took a hit, but only three months later she is up and running again as a hero to women nation wide.. and not just President Trump's daughter.

Change in Washington

You see, even though she is surrounded by men who grab women's pussies and believe that they have the right to tell women what to do with their unborn fetuses, Ms Trump thinks she can make a difference. Well, I'm all for this social liberal's optimism – but I doubt it will last. Perhaps like her gifted and fast-elevating partner #Jared Kushner, Ivanka Trump will be swallowed up by the grim realities of Washington and lose her desire for rightful change.
