Julian Assange, the founder and current editor-in-chief of WikiLeaks, announced the release of over 500,000 diplomatic cables, linking all the way back to 1979. For those of you who unaware, #Wikileaks is a non-profit organization who publish documents of political and/or historical importance that would otherwise be suppressed or censored. Today, they dropped a bombshell.
“If any year could be said to be the “year zero” of our modern era, 1979 is it,” said Assange. In 1979, the Iranian Revolution, the Saudi Islamic uprising, and the year that Saddam Hussein became President created a lot of turmoil and instability in the Middle East. Why? Oil.
Because of this, it led Saudi Arabia to Wahhabism (Sunni Islam), "leading to the transnational spread of fundamentalism and US-Saudi destabilization of Afghanistan." This would essentially motivate Osama Bin Laden to leave Saudi for Pakistan, and the uprise of the Afghan Mujahideen (guerrilla forces).
The USSR then invaded Osama Bin Laden and his Pakistani forces, leading to Operation Cyclone, which saw Saudi Arabia and the CIA push billions of dollars to Mujahideen fighters. The result? The eventual collapse of the Soviet Union and the rise of the terrorist group, Al-Qaeda.
On September 11th, 2001, two planes were hijacked and flown into the World Trade Center, creating the worst terrorist attack in United States history. This "enabled the US invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq and over a decade of war, leaving, at its end, the ideological, financial and geographic basis for #ISIS."
The question is, who is funding ISIS? Well, on August 17, 2014, Hillary Clinton sent an email to John Podesta (counselor to President Barack Obama at the time), "to bring pressure on the governments of Qatar and Saudi Arabia, which are providing clandestine financial and logistic support to ISIL and other radical Sunni groups in the region."
Why are the Saudi and Qatari governments funding ISIS? It's still unclear. What we do know is that the Saudi's and Qatari's are directly funding ISIS, and the United States, specifically Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State, were aware. What is even more jaw-dropping is that the Qatari governments sent about 5 million dollars to the Clinton Foundation, while Saudi Arabia has donated around 25 million dollars. In turn? Hilary sent an estimated $60 billion dollars worth of fighter jets and and helicopters to Saudi Arabia.
With the information we know, it is safe to assume that ISIS and the Clinton Foundation were funded by the same people, the Saudi's. Are the Saudi's turning around and sending those fighter jets and helicopters to help aid ISIS? It's uncertain, but there is something incredibly fishy about this entire situation. #HillaryClinton
