Flash-backs.

This Family friendly movie for all ages has similar voices from the original movie even after thirteen years. With a fun and suspenseful adventure for children, it also has some humor for all ages. This film is not like Finding Nemo where there was the journey - the movie is more about the result. The main thing I liked about the movie is that Dory kept having flashbacks about her parents, and there were certain triggers to those memories since she has short term memory loss. Those triggers allowed me to learn new things about Dory’s past as she remembered them, and allowed the audience to learn about the character. It seemed like a mystery adventure were the flashback are the clues to solve the mystery.

Learn more about Dory.

I also liked the way they started the movie similar to Finding Nemo and then caught up to present day. You learn more about Dory as the main character this time around. There are also many new characters as well those from Dory’s past that you meet as well. The musical score portrays the mode of the movie very well and adds to the suspense when needed. Also, the movie has a balance of both sad and happy scenes. There is an extra scene at the end of the film. So try to stay through the credits. Check your local theaters for showtimes.

My Star Rating.

I would give this movie a  4.5 out of 5 for family friendly and just a great movie overall. With the special effects, music and design this film is a must-see. The flashbacks and the music were fun and engaging. The adventure, fun and the characters grow through their experiences. The new characters also add to the fun and humor. Even though it is the second movie,  this film can easily stand by itself. This film a must-see movie for everyone! #Movies #MovieReview
