Welcome to the official Nicolas Cage channel. I'm your channel manager, Suzanne Rothberg

This is the channel where you will find all the Nicolas Cage content you're seeking, including news, updates, and interviews with Nicolas Cage and everything in between pertaining to this iconic celebrity!

I am the only Blasting News writer and very proud to be the first, that has actually interviewed Nicolas Cage about his film, "Inconceivable" along with director, Jonathan Baker!

Nicolas Cage was born Nicolas Kim Coppola on January 7, 1964, to the late August Coppola, a literature professor and Joy Vogelsang, a dancer and choreographer. He comes from a family dynasty of Hollywood royalty. His two brothers are radio personality, Marc "The Cope" Coppola and film director Christopher Coppola.

His cousin is the director Sofia Coppola, known for her films "The Beguiled," "Marie Antoinette," and "Lost in Translation" and his uncle is also the famous director Francis Ford Coppola, known for "The Godfather" among other titles. He changed his last name to "Cage" taken from the comic book character, "Luke Cage" to avoid nepotism so he could establish a name for himself as an actor.

He's an avid comic book fan and once launched a comic book series called, "Voodoo Child." He has appeared in over 80 films and counting! He won an Oscar for his role as a suicidal alcoholic in the 1996 film, "Leaving Las Vegas." He's had box office hits such as the "National Treasure" films, "The Rock" and "Face-Off". His latest film was 2017's "Vengeance: A Love Story."

Cage is releasing several films for the remainder of 2017 and into 2018. One of them is the global warming thriller, "The Humanity Bureau" which was shot in Barco Escape format in Canada and the upcoming horror film, "Mom and Dad," which was introduced at the 2017 Toronto Film Festival and is still pending release.

He owns the production company, Saturn Films, which produced, "Next," Shadow of a Vampire," "The Life of David Gale," and several other films.

He cites the late actor, James Dean and the films, "Rebel Without a Cause" and East of Eden" as his influence for his Hollywood acting career. He even bears a striking resemblance to Dean.

He once owned the haunted LaLaurie Mansion in New Orleans, as an inspiration to compose a horror novel, but it never materialized.

Nicolas Cage is also one of the most generous celebrities in Hollywood. He donated millions to various causes including Hurricane Katrina relief for the victims in New Orleans. Recently, he paid a visit to the U.S. Coast Guard and the Women and Children's unit while filming "Between Worlds" in Mobile, Alabama. He also received the key to the city from Mayor Sandy Stimpson.
