When a man asks a woman to marry him, he expects her to say, "Yes." However, that was not the response a Pennsylvania man received when he proposed to his Girlfriend. Christopher Tucker allegedly went into a rage when his teenage girlfriend said she wasn't going to marry him because she was still sleeping with other men.

The 34-year-old man was arrested and charged with killing his 19-year-old girlfriend, Tara Serino, for rejecting his marriage proposal. He was so upset that the murder was one of passion. He allegedly strangled her, snapped her neck, gouged out both her eyes and beat her with a hatchet until she was dead, according to NBC Philadelphia.

Serino's family had not seen Tara since October 30. So far, they have not spoken out about the tragedy.

Arrested

Tucker was arrested and charged with murder and criminal homicide. The police reported that the murder took place at Tucker's house in Berks County, Pennsylvania between last Monday morning and Tuesday afternoon. After seeing the woman's body, the police cited those things that Tucker had done to her. They summarized his action by saying he flew into "a fit of rage."

After she was dead, Tucker wrapped the teen's body in a rug and left it inside his house while he went to Illinois. He was arrested after he was caught trying to break into a farmer's property. Since his arrest, Tucker confessed to murdering his girlfriend.

His account of how he killed her was consistent with the condition of her body.

Other charges

Other than the murder and homicide charges, Tucker also faces charges of aggravated assault and possession of a weapon because a hatchet was used as an instrument of a crime. Tucker is being held in an Illinois jail. He will be extradited to Pennsylvania where he lives and committed the horrific crime.

It is not known whether the Pennsylvania man entered a plea or not or if he has legal representation.

The Allentown Morning Call reported that Tucker was already in trouble with the law. He had been arrested several days before the rejected proposal and murder. Even though it was a crime, it was minor in comparison to what he did to Tara.

He was arrested for driving drunk and speeding in Indiana County in Pennsylvania. The newspaper also stated that he was charged with traffic offenses and for possessing marijuana and another controlled substance. He posted bail and was released for those crimes.

What do you think about what Christopher Tucker did to Tara Serino? Most people think it was a very unusual reaction for being rejected.
