Rihanna makes headlines after launching her very own cosmetic line called Fenty Beauty. The pop icon received overwhelming praise from fans across the globe for promoting inclusiveness and standing up against Animal cruelty.

Rihanna works with Kendo for Fenty Beauty

Fans are excited for the release of Rihanna’s personal cosmetic line called Fenty Beauty. Notably, the “Wild Thoughts” singer made sure that her cosmetic line was publicized through a diverse marketing campaign. According to Pop Sugar, Fenty Beauty was made possible through Rihanna's collaboration with the famous incubator brand called Kendo.

The iconic brand is known for its association with other big cosmetic names such as Ole Henriksen, Bite Beauty, Kat Von D Beauty and Marc Jacobs Beauty.

Through her social media accounts, Rihanna has teased her fans with sneak peaks of products from her cosmetic line. According to Yahoo, the singer’s cosmetic brand features 91 products which includes popular make-up essentials such as highlighters, concealers, correcting sticks, makeup brushes, and blotting powders. The makeup line highlights its foundation that comes in 40 different shades. The cosmetic line is also budget friendly. The cost of the lightweight products range from $25 to $34.

Fenty Beauty is cruelty-free

Fenty Beauty is certified cruelty-free.

This means that Rianna's cosmetic products do not employ animal testing at any point of makeup manufacturing. Products without the cruelty-free label have either integrated animal-tested ingredients in their products or have directly tested their finished goods on animals before ultimately selling them in the market.

A Kendo brand representative confirmed that Rihanna’s makeup line will not be available for shipment to China.

This is because animal testing is required by the Chinese market. According to Missy Maynard, co-founder of the Storybook Cosmetics line, despite the recent improvements on the China's cosmetic regulations, animal testing remains mandatory. Selling cruelty-free cosmetics to the Chinese market is a tough call for makeup manufacturer.

Luckily, Chinese customers may still avail of cruelty-free products by making direct orders from US-based websites.

Fenty Beauty can be purchased from the brand’s official website. Rihanna’s cosmetics are also available on Sephora locations all over the globe. The collection is also available at Harvey Nichols stores in Ireland and the U.K.
