Over the last week, one of the biggest news stories to break has been in regards to Donald Trump being under investigation for potential Obstruction Of Justice. Despite the president confirming he's under investigation, his lawyer doesn't seem too sure.

Fox News on Trump

For over two years, Donald Trump has been the talk of the town when it comes to politics. From the early days of his presidential campaign during the 2016 election, through his upset wins in the GOP primary and general election, the former host of "The Apprentice" has created a constant stream of controversy that he was some how able to overcome before finding himself in the White House.

While Trump was successful and able to become the new commander in chief, the controversy and scandals have only increased over the last six months. The latest issue to plague the administration has been in the aftermath of Trump's decision to fire James Comey as the head of the FBI. Comey was leading the investigation at the time of his termination, and since then, fellow former FBI Director Robert Mueller was brought on board to serve as special counsel. Last week it was revealed that Mueller was now investigating the president for possible obstruction of justice, which Trump later confirmed during a recent tweet. During the June 18 edition of "Fox News Sunday," Trump's lawyer appeared on the program but seemed confused over the current status of the investigation.

As first reported by the Washington Post earlier this week, Robert Mueller has opened up an investigation into whether or not Donald Trump should be charged with obstruction. In a tweet on Friday, Trump posted, "I am being investigated for firing the FBI Director by the man who told me to fire the FBI Director! Witch Hunt."

Despite this, Jay Sekulow who is currently one of Donald Trump's lawyers, spoke with Fox News host Chris Wallace about the issue at hand.

"He takes the action that (AG) recommended and now he's being investigated by the Department of Justice," Sekulow said. Doubling down, Sekulow repeated that the president was "being investigated."

Trump confusion

Chris Wallace quickly fired back, due to Jay Sekulow initially claiming the president wasn't under investigation.

"No, he’s not being investigated!" Sekulow replied. "You just said he’s being investigated," Wallace reminded him. "You just said two times that he’s being investigated," the Fox News host continued. Sekulow accused Wallace of "putting words in (his) mouth," to which the host simply answered, "I’m trying to get a straight answer out of you." At the conclusion of the interview, it was clear that the White House and their legal team are not on the same page.
