Five notorious members of a Street Gang that went by the name Young and Skantless (NYS) were charged for multiple criminal misconducts. The group that mainly operated in Northwest Detroit were involved in racketeering, narcotics and firearm offenses. They mostly worked in Brightmoor neighborhood.

The eldest member was 36 years old while the youngest was 23. Corey Toney, 36, is accused of conspiracy and possession to distribute a controlled substance. Edward Tavorn, 30, is charged conspiring to use and being in possession of a firearm.
Andre Chattam, 27, is accused of murder, racketeering, and use and carry a firearm during a crime of violence causing death. Kevin Pearson, 25, is charged with murder, aiding racketeering, and use and carry a firearm during a crime of violence causing death. While Sontez Wells, 23, of Detroit, is charged with murder in aid of racketeering, use and carry a firearm during a crime causing death.
The gang was regarded to be one of the most ruthless in the Detroit neighborhood. Other acts of the group included intimidating, injuring and killing rival drug dealers to eliminate competition, instilling fear in the community to discourage cooperation with police, discouraging witnesses from reporting its crimes as well as posting intimidating photographs and videos on social media.The arrest and conviction of the gang members were as a result of the collaboration of members of the Detroit law enforcers and members of the Detroit community through the 'Detroit One Initiative Campaign' which began in 2013.

Juggalo gang began in mid-2000. Their illegal activities include extortion, murders, weapon trafficking, dog fighting, assault, auto theft, burglary, and arson.
Mara Salvartucha, formed in the 1980s, most members are Salvadorians, Hondurans, and Guatemalans. They boast of 70,000 members. Most of their crimes include drug trafficking, robbery, extortion, human trafficking, larceny, murder, money laundering, prostitution, battery, kidnapping, racketeering, and arms trafficking.
The Los Zetas a Mexican criminal gang formed in 1999. Their activities include torture, drug trafficking, human trafficking, assassinations, kidnapping, weapons trafficking, money laundering, murder, police corruption, and terrorism.
