A lot perceive that Melania Trump is the saddest First Lady of the United States with her awkward interactions with her husband, the President of United States Donald Trump. From the 70-year-old’s inauguration to their photographs together, it can be clearly seen that there might be a gap between the two.

Some said that the 47-year-old’s life today is not something that she wants. Thus #FreeMelania trended on Twitter. However, her spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham slammed the reports, especially the controversial Vanity Fair article “Inside the Trump Marriage: Melania’s Burden.”

Melania to continue serving as First Lady

In an interview with HuffPost, Grisham described Melania as a “loving wife and mother,” who always puts her family first, and nothing can change it.

She also said that the story in Vanity Fair is not true. She went on depicting the former model as an independent woman that has a strong belief in the country that her husband serves. She will also continue her plans to work as the First Lady with “integrity and dedication.”

The spokeswoman also addressed the Slovenia-born's plans to move to Washington D.C. at the end of the school year. As Barron Trump is still studying, she can’t just leave New York instantly. In fact, they are now looking for a new school that her 11-year-old only son could go to.

The family’s relationship

Moreover, an unknown source of Vanity Fair claimed that Melania doesn’t want to be the First Lady of the United States and doesn’t have any interest to play the role.

Grisham, then, defended her boss insisting that she has been very supportive of Donald and all his endeavors.

She was also asked if the wife of the president and the POTUS’s daughter Ivanka Trump have cold shoulders to each other. The same publication asserted that the two has an icy relationship, but the spokesperson insisted that they are fine.

In fact, she said that they are, actually, close and they have maintained it until today.

Moreover, in an e-mail Grisham sent to HuffPost, she claimed that Vanity Fair’s story about Melania is “offensive.” “Vanity Fair chose to publish not only a false story but one that is degrading to women,” she said. She also added that the fact that it is a magazine for women makes it more insulting.

The controversial article

Vanity Fair’s “Inside the Trump Marriage: Melania’s Burden” has been published online and in the magazine’s May 2017 issue. It features how Melania manages her new public post as the First Lady of the United States and the people's scrutiny she has to face. Most of its content is from unknown sources, and no one from the Trump family gives their opinion about it.
