There is, according to #Rex Tillerson, the secretary of state, a low level of trust between Russian and the Unite States. Tillerson met up with Russia's president #Vladimir Putin on Wednesday after a rocky week. Much had happened in the preceding days before their storied meeting, with the two countries trading in barbs, blame and mutual condemnation for the Syria chemical weapons attack.

Tillerson talks about trust

“There is a low level of trust between our countries,” Tillerson told the media in company with the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

This, after Tillerson's first ever meeting with #Putin. It was the first time that high-level Russian leaders and a top emissary from Team Trump had met in person, and those in the media and political worlds were poised to see what happened in the storied tale of America and Russia.

Tillerson claimed that the world's two largest nuclear powers can't and should not have such a dysfunctional relationship. Along with Lavrov, Tillerson discussed a range of issues focusing on the #Syrian crises, North Korea and the Ukraine issue, something that #Obama created sanctions against Putin for in his tenure as president.

Both sides have agreed to create and work with a group that aims to study the various irritants that muddy the Relations between the #United States and Russia.
