Taylor Swift is gearing up to release her new album later this year by releasing some new tracks – starting with “Look What You Made Me Do.” After posting three cryptic snake videos on her social media accounts, the singer dropped her new single and the announcement of her latest album. A few days later, Swift unveiled the shocking music video during the VMAs, ultimately shocking her fans. With that being said, the pop sensation has been breaking records left and right, and it seems like she’s dethroned “Despacito” from breaking a record.

Swift’s back with a bang

According to CNN.com, the hit song “Despacito” was reigning at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart for a whopping 16 weeks. The Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee track would have made it for a 17th week, breaking Mariah Carey’s “One Sweet Day” record, yet was dethroned by Swift’s “Look What You Made Me Do.” Her debut single managed to nab the No. 1 spot this week, all thanks to her surprise return. While her debut track didn’t manage to hit the No. 1 spot during its release, “Look What You Made Me Do” easily climbed up the following week.

Keeping a low profile

In other news, Swift has been going strong with her newest boy toy, Joe Alwyn. The two have been steadily dating under the limelight as the pop star is trying to keep a low profile.

Just recently, she hastily left her best friend’s wedding while her guards hid her with large black clothes. Despite the large crowd waiting outside for her, she managed to evade most media coverage.

With that being said, it seems like Swift still wants to keep her personal life private for now, as per US Weekly. An insider claimed that her new “strategy” is trying to keep her personal affairs separate from her work life.

Following her whirlwind romance with Tom Hiddleston, it isn’t surprising that Swift wants to keep a low profile this time around. She and her new boyfriend have been holing up in the pop star's $20 million penthouse loft in NYC’s Tribeca neighborhood. When outside, she relies on hoodies to stay away from the limelight.

It’s interesting to see this new side to Swift as she’s usually the first person to brag and flaunt her new relationship.

Even so, the insider claimed that she really likes Alwyn and that they’ll have to go public sooner or later - ahead of her upcoming album. Taylor Swift will be releasing up upcoming album, “Reputation,” this November 10. So far, she’s released two teaser tracks: “Look What You Made Me Do” and “...Ready For It?”
